BLACK AND YELLOW PAINTINGS
I used to have monochrome lines and shades when I drew, which was the complete opposite to my paintings filled with colors. I had to introduce one more color that will fit perfectly with the black of ink or charcoal and the white background of paper or canvas. This color had to connect Nature and City. Is it possible for this city to look natural?
A yellow emerged from this search for distinctive, but the real story goes way back.
This piece is the work that announced the Urban Anatomy series, where I continue to deal with the issues of human development, and study human population in this new age. The impact of the accelerated technological revolution, the blow of economic migration, and war events that we are witnessing more and more, are deeply worrying.
